Having been a season ticket holder at The Bridge for the past 8 years or so, I felt that the least Chelsea could do was to hand the gate receipts for the notts county game to your trust. I acknowledge the shirts gesture, but surely the money for that particular game wouldn't have mattered considering Chelsea's summer take over? Putting it in context, Hasselbaink's wages in a month and a half would save your club, and what use is he for us right now? I would prefer to see him out the door and have your club survive the situation u r in.
Good luck with everything

That is a fantastic philosophy and what a way of putting this situation into context. Thank you very much for your concern. It's true this is a massive thing for the grass roots of football. If the Oldest Football League Club in the World is left to die who knows what will happen next. It's true NCFC has not succeeded so far in guaranteeing survival but that is not the fault of the Notts fans. Only now will we see if football wants a future which gives everyone a chance.
