Supporters and members will be aware of recent speculation concerning the Notts County Supporters Trust and Notts County FC, specifically over ground safety, financial matters at the Club and the position of certain officials.

As Secretary of the Supporters Trust, John Collin is currently assessing the situation in concert with Supporters Direct (SD), and as the Trust’s governing body, SD is actively involved in seeking to resolve the issues concerned.

We appreciate that all members and supporters will be concerned about the situation, but we can assure them that both John Collin and SD are committed to address it.

All board members have been requested not to comment publicly on any of the issues concerned. However, the position of certain officials in their capacity as Club officials may make this difficult, and both John and Supporters Direct understand this, and will be actively monitoring the situation, and continuing to discuss any issues that arise with these officials.

As an organisation, the Supporters Trust will be making no further comment at this time.

AS a Member of The Trust since its inception I find the latest round of revalations absolutely amazing. I cannot believe my ears when an Ex., Trust Chairman calls for an Independent Audit of The Clubs Accounts, as they do not know whether they have £1 or one million pounds in the Bank Account & you Gentlemen have been elected to run Notts County Football Club.
I have to say the going ons at our Football Club never cease to amaze me, as a Supporter of 59 years all I want to see is my team playing good football back where it belongs in The Championship as a minum. All we seem capable of producing at Meadow Lane is Headlines for The Local Press & Radio to Gloat Over, thus becoming The Laughing Stock, with the happenings on the Pitch as a Side Show to The Main Event.
Gentlemen I Implore you keep your Board Room Wrangling to The Board Room & for once let the Football take Centre Stage, if not I can only see your Behind Scenes Antics & Mini Power Struggles Finally Killing Our Club. For once, Can We All Pull in The Same Direction & Take This Club Forward Please.
JAH would appear to have done more for this Club in eighteen months than has happened to us since coming out of Admin, the football is 100% better, we have the Kop, people have a smile on their faces when you go down to The Lane which is the first time in a long while. I have to say I do not see any reason to change what is happening & would seriously consider remaining a member of The Trust if change were to take place.
In my opinion all JAH is guilty of is trying to turn us into a Football Club again.

I agree completely Bridg4d. I just hope that the Trust Board sees sense tomorrow night. If they vote JAH out then they'll be losing my Trust Membership and I dare say a few more.

And if he stays he might lose mine, he was appointed by the Trust to keep the Trust Board informed of all financial matters including possible investments not turn into the lone ranger. As an ex board member all this JAH has done this and that is rubbish its been a collective thing and JAH is wrongly getting all the credit in my opinion, the Trust is supposed to be open with its members and its now turning into a farce thanks to JAH.

You're right Jurgen, the Trust are supposed to be open with their members. But the communications coming out of them having been shoddy at best and certainly when it comes to matters like this practically non existent.

I don't think you can blame this farce completely on JAH. None of the parties involved are going to come out of this in a good light. But why did the Trust go to the press? There was no need for that and all they've done is created an atmosphere of hostility between fans with differing opinions and opened up endless debate and speculation, a media circus sums it up best. If they wanted to communicate with their members about this why not call an Extraordinary General Meeting? I don't like the way that this whole situation has been handled by the Trust.

And if the Trust have been involved in the decisions etc that JAH has made and a lot of fans praise him for, why haven't they issued a joint statement with the club about it? They are after all the supposed majority shareholders and as you well know get a really rough ride at times on forums like NCM. Such a move would have helped them no end.

It feels to me like they want him out because he is having talks about bringing outside investment into the club and they don't want to relinquish control. Now I'm sure the whole thing of keeping Notts under supporter control started with the best of intentions and I admit I supported that in the past, particularly after the stress and anxiety that our stint in administration caused. But we are in danger of going backwards unless some more money is brought into the club. And if the Trust Board cannot see that then it is time for them all to step down and let people with a fresh pair of eyes and new perspective take over the Trust.

The Trust didn't go to the press, seven board members chose to go to the press.

So the 7 members weren't acting on behalf of the Trust?

Then they should face a vote of no confidence also.
