Yesterday (5 March) at 8 O’clock there was Special Board Meeting of the Notts County Supporters Trust.
The meeting was called by two board members unhappy with a series of issues around the management of the Club.
The meeting was also attended by Kevin Rye of Supporters Direct, who acted solely in an advisory capacity to the Secretary, John Collin, who in turn acted in his capacity as Trust Secretary.
The meeting was chaired by Trust Chair Glenn Rolley, and lasted for four-and-a-half hours, during which there was a full and frank exchange of views.
During the course of the meeting Peter Dennis also tendered his resignation from the Trust Board.
Supporters Direct, having provided advice and guidance in the lead-up to the meeting, are satisfied that it was conducted correctly, and in accordance with the rules of the Trust.
John Collin also received advice from the Trust’s solicitors, Cobbetts, in the lead-up to the meeting.
Although a vote of no confidence in the Supporters Directors, John Armstrong-Holmes and Eric Kerry was proposed and seconded, it failed to take place, after six board members left the meeting citing dissatisfaction with the voting procedure. The meeting ended at that point.
The executive officers are currently in discussions with Supporters Direct, and will report to the membership once agreement as to a way forward has been reached.

Would it now be possible to get back to Football again Gents & hang up "The Perry Mason Disguises",which I for one thought that N.C.F.C. was all about. Maybe I joined the wrong Trust.
Gentlemen put your Legal Toy's back in their boxes & concentrate on taking Notts County forward, which I for one thought you were supposed to be doing, that is what I pay my subs for, not to have The Club dragged through "The Gutter", by people I voted for.

I have to say this whole sorry affair is hugely embarrassing. I certainly did not join the trust to witness such petty posturing and squabbling. Can you not see this is making our club into a laughing stock again?? What on earth is going on? It's entirely possible of course that there are genuine reasons for concerns, but the way the trust has gone about their business over this affair is quite frankly laughable and has done untold damage to their credibility. I for one now have serious doubts about the way you function, and can assure the trust this is echoed by many many members. I fully expect to hear a full report on the goings on behind the scenes, and EXACTLY what was discussed in this farce of a meeting, otherwise i, along with all other trust members currently being kept in the dark can do no other than draw their own conclusions from the scraps of information we are being fed. I can assure you, however, that this does not reflect well on you as an organisation. Prove me wrong with a full and frank statement as to what is really going on behind the scenes and i will happily start to "trust the trust". Until then, like most other members and non members I will continue to see you as the bumbling organisation who despite admirable intentions, is starting to do more harm than good.
