He says each of the board members has a specific role, but there is no further detail. Howard Wilkinson's and Jeff Moore's roles are clear, but what does everyone else do?

From the NEP: "... everybody knows what they need to take care of and can bring that to board meetings."
Nigel, it seems a fairly straightforward question from Phil but no answer has been forthcoming. Also it would be helpful if someone from the Board could respond to the growing number of questions being raised here, rather than the selective approach being adopted.
From a members' perspective, do we not have a right to know at the very least what role our representative has on the Board?
Has someone got the responsibility for good corporate governance? How about communications and supporter relations. In my opinion these are areas that need immediate attention.

Hi Dave.
Sorry for not replying earlier. I'm been away from my computer for most of today and will be for all of tomorrow so things might be a little slower than expected and this a question that I'm really the one to answer as interim SD.
The areas of responsibility are still being considered. Michael Hammond is likely to be looking after finance. David Rhodes has the expertise to cover pitch and ground issues. Jeff Moore and Howard Wilkinson's areas are as you suggest.
We are currently discussing an appropriate area for the new Trust SD to cover. Current thinking is towards Community and supporter relations. Other areas have still to be allocated as this is currently an ongoing process.
We'll try to keep you posted.
Cheers
Keri

Keri
A few questions
How were the new members to the board appointed?
Were the trust involved in this process?
Who do the new board members effectively represent?
Do you feel that having one director on the board fairly represents the 30% shareholding.
Thanks
Matt

Maybe the role of the Trust Representative should be to represent the supporters. The Trust Rep is not just another board member to be allocated tasks. That is not the point, surely.

Keri/Nigel,
Do you anticipate the Supporter Director's portfolio/role being clarified before the election process for the new Trust representative?
Does the Trust have any say in what the SD role is with regards the Club Board function and/or will it depend on the strengths of the successful candidate?
Incidentally, it was announced on this website on 13th May that:
The process to find a replacement for Steve as Supporter Director is now underway in accordance with the Trust rules. Two valid nominations for the position have been received by the Trust Secretary and an election process culminating in a full vote of the membership will take place in the next few weeks. The two nominees from the Trust Board are Alan Scott and Eric Kerry. Full details of the election process will be posted shortly.
If there is a possibility of strengthening the Trust's representation at Boardroom level to two directors, will this have an impact on the election?
