AGM and Membership

People have asked us about membership renewal. The rules of the Trust are clear that people remain members until notified in writing by the Trust. This means that although the membership year is August 1st to July 31st - we normally send out reminders later in the year thus maximising the Trust financial resource.

Current members will remain so until at least until after the Annual General Meeting.

A big thank you to all those who have already renewed their membership.

The details of the AGM will be notified as soon as possible.

Trust Office

Due to the increase in activity at Meadow Lane generally and specifically on match days, the Trust Board have been working with the Club and agreed to let them utilise the Trust office.

On Saturday 22nd August and until further notice, the Supporters Club has kindly agreed to accommodate us in their office. Margaret Cobb and Paul Swift will be in attendance for the match against Dagenham.

The Future Direction of the Trust

As has already been notified, the Trust Board is currently looking at where the future focus of the Trust should be. It is intended that proposals will be brought for members to discuss and decide upon at the Annual General Meeting.

Resignations

Further to a recent Trust Board meeting which looked at the ‘Way Forward’ for the Trust. It was agreed that a complete remodelling would benefit the Trust to adapt to the changing circumstances within our football club. In an endeavour to encourage new people to the board prior to the AGM the following resignations were offered.

John Armstrong-Holmes, Eric Kerry, Paul Gibbs, Malcolm Bullard and Stuart Rolley.

We extend our thanks to all the above for their positive contributions while in office.

A special thank you from all members has to go to John and Eric for their sterling work as Supporters Directors over the last few years.

Eric for guiding the re-emergence of the COE which is vital to the future of our football club.

John’s unparalleled efforts will not, and should not, go unrecognised in the history of the Trust and Notts County Football Club!

The Trust Board, its members and ALL Notts County Supporters owe him so much for what he has achieved for our football club in the last 2 years.

We can all now enjoy the football proud in the knowledge that John and the Trust played a key role in delivering the ‘Impossible dream’.

Any members who wish to be considered to join the Trust Board as part of the remodelling with fresh ideas to suit the new climate at our football club should contact: chair@nottscotrust.org.uk
