The 7th Notts County Supporters Trust AGM was attended by over 30 members, interestingly more than in 2007 when we had just become the major shareholder.

The chair, Glenn Rolley, gave a full and frank account of the last year, which was on occasions brutal in the detail delivered. Special focus was given to the way the Trust and Club were almost destroyed by actions of a few. Tributes were given to John Collin and Nigel King for their true professionalism in the face of such iniquity. The Chair went on to outline the gratitude ALL Notts fans owe to John Armstrong Homes in delivering the Munto investment for our football club.

Peter Trembling sent his apologies due to an alternative long term engagement.

There were two nominations for the Trust Board in Margaret Cobb and David Peck, both were successful. John Collin also agreed to remain as secretary but would not be part of the board. Following the meeting Paul Swift was co-opted with others showing an interest.

Trust Board.

Glenn Rolley – Chairman
Margaret Cobb
David Peck
Paul Swift – Co-opted

John Collin – Secretary (Non Board Member)

‘A New Beginning’ motion was presented and unanimously accepted as the model to move forward in a new era. It was widely accepted that the Trust can be of value to our football club in the future by continuing to deliver links to both the community and supporters alike. The Trust does require new blood and appeals to members who can offer ideas or skills to facilitate this initiative.

The auditors report was presented by Smith Cooper, Chartered Accountants, and was duly accepted.

Members voted in favour to re-appoint Smith Cooper, Chartered Accountants, Haydn House, 309 -329 Haydn Road, Sherwood, Nottingham NG5 1HG as Auditors at a fee to be agreed by the Society Board.

Glenn gave a full and frank account of how the money owed to HMRC was withheld?

I can't wait for the minutes.

I'm sure these comments were meant to be ironic. Its good to see that members of the Trust Board still have a sense of humour.

That quote should be posted on the home page of the Trust (if it survives) for all time as a reminder of what incompetent, unscrupulous, toadying people can do in a democratic organisation.
