Notts County Supporters Trust is helping to distribute 1,862 free tickets to local community groups and ‘worthy causes’ for the ‘BIG THANK YOU’ match between Notts County and Wycombe Wanderers on 11th December.
And all Trust members are invited to help in this process by nominating people or organisations who they think are deserving of the chance to come down to Meadow Lane and join in the fun and celebrations.
One of the main aims of Notts County Supporters Trust is to strengthen the bonds between the Club and the community which it serves. The “Big Thank You” match, which will celebrate the local community coming together to help save Notts County Football Club, provides an opportunity to start to turn that aim into a reality.
The Trust is already distributing tickets to school groups and community organisations and it is hope that this will encourage hundreds of new faces who may not have been to see Notts County before to come along and enjoy the fun.
Trust members can play their part by nominating individuals or community groups who they would benefit from being given free tickets for this special match. It might even be an elderly relative who is a long time supporter but no longer attends matches for financial reasons or a child who has never been to a match before.
Trust members should send their nominations as soon as possible by e-mail to community@nottscotrust.org.uk, or in writing to: Notts County Supporters Trust, Meadow Lane, Nottingham, NG2 3HJ.
Trust Community Officer, Cheryl Thompson says,
“ This is a great opportunity for us to celebrate the new beginning for our Club and to hopefully introduce new faces to Notts County at the same time. It’s also about saying thank you to everyone in the community who made such a big contribution in our struggle for survival.
Central to this was the efforts of Trust members and that’s why it’s important they are given the opportunity to nominate people or community groups they would like tickets to be provided to. We hope as may people as possible will come along on the day and join in the fun”.
