The Trust Board have been informed of the resignation of Keri Usherwood with immediate effect. Trust Chair, Glenn Rolley says "We accept Keri's resignation and thank him for the dignified manner in which he has conducted it".

Keri has asked us to pass on his resignation letter to members. It is reproduced below.

quote:
Dear John

After six years as part of the Trust Board, including a hefty stint as Chair, it's time for me to depart.

I’m sure you’ll understand why I have reached this decision.

Despite my resignation, I still believe passionately in the principle of supporter representation in football clubs at whatever level of involvement or shareholding. Fans put so much into their Clubs over a lifetime of devotion. Year after year they support their Club financially through thick
and thin. Without them, Clubs are nothing and they deserve to be recognised.

There are now over 100 Supporters Trusts at football clubs up and down the country and, especially in the current economic climate, it's my view that the Trust model will continue to be recognised for the vital role it can play on behalf of the membership and supporters in general. I know that this is a view that not every fan agrees with. But just being in the position to have that debate at our Club has been, in my view, the realisation of much of what we all fought so strongly for six years ago.

I’d be grateful if you would accept this letter as my formal resignation from the Trust Board with immediate effect.

Regards

Keri Usherwood

Oh well, at least there are some decent positions available on the Trust board now. No need to wait for dead men's shoes any more. It's time for you muppets that are left to roll your trouser legs up and get down on bended knees before the Worshipful Master.

Nigel, why haven't the resination letters from Cheryl and Thommo been distributed to the membership?

All that time on here and no response to a simple question. Disappointing

Phil,

Its not routine to send out resignation letters when members resign.

Keri's was sent out because he asked for it to sent out. This request was considered and agreed to.

So if the others ask for their letters to be distributed you'll do that?

With Trevor's letter you actually asked him if you could post it here.

I think that is unlikely now.

Why? Surely your job is to inform the membership?
