Which members should they have consulted with?

All 1000, or just a select few, for example those that were involved in CAN?

The Trust Board are appointed to deal with these matters, there is a public meeting and the membership are being asked to vote.

I like sarcasm, but it at least has to be relevant.

Who should they have consulted with?

Relevant, but not coherent

It still is, the members are being asked to vote on the offer after a public meeting.

The detail cant be shown to all, thats why we have an elected Trust Board, whose election was endorsed at the SGM, who see the detail and make recommendations.

The membership can decide whether they follow or ignore those recommendations.

Simon,

It is an open secret that Al Thani Investments are behind the bid, as you said the Willet connection is another give away. Willett is based in the Middle East overseeing the worldwide property investments of the Al Thani Investment Group as you probably know.

If you have ever done business with Arabs as I have, they are not keen on being associated with bids of any nature that fail. Once this goes through they may become more public.

Stuart,

I don't think there is any need for that sort of remark.

It doesn't do you any credit.

Magpie64,

Thank you for attempting to paste links to the supporting articles.

I do not believe that it is an open secret that Al Thani are behind the bid. I think that many supporters failed to read the initial press releases properly and saw a link where non exists.

If they preferred to remain hidden in the background, then Peter Willett's association with them would never have been publicised. It was referred to in the initial press release simply to establish his credentials as a serious player.

My belief, for what it's worth, is that Munto are a group of UK expats currently working in the Middle East looking for involvement in UK football as a mixture of a hobby and an investment. It's probably more of an investment than Derek Pavis' commitment but they will be hoping for some fun along the way as he did.

I'd like to know who they are before entrusting them with my club.

Simon
