Get over yourself Tony. State your views but don't start throwing around veiled threats. Nobody tells me how to think and vote.

The Trust represents anybody who belongs to the Trust. We own the club, we are being asked to hand it over. Why shouldn't we ask questions? In just over a week's time we will probably have no say in the running of the club any more.

At the moment I am moving towards Yes rather than No if only because it is the quick and easy way to remove the jokers who have hijacked the Trust. Then again I live in NZ and have no idea if I will even get the chance to vote. This deal will be "scuppered" because more people vote against it than for it, that is democracy in action.

It is no surprise that much of this comes from CAN supporters and I have to agree with Magpie 64,Roweyp,Jurgenpie and others - its time to move on. The Trust did a great Job in helping to save the club but NOW is the time to bow out gracefully.Critics of the takeover seem to me to be losing the bigger picture as
1. The alternative to accepting this deal is the continuing march to a slow death !!
2.CAN supporters inparticular seem to have forgotten that the Trust should be representing ALL supporters views. In this respect it seems clear that an overwhelming majority of "ordinary" fans want this deal to take place. The pedants should be taking this into account.
3.Surely the worst that can happen after any takeover is that Munto desert us in 5-10 years BUT we should be in for a happier ride in the meantime.
4.People keep asking for more details of Munto BUT they have issued a statement outlining their intentions ( Lisa - it is on page 6 of the booklet). What if you have the names of their backers? You look them up on the internet? BUT you will still have very little more to go on. That is unless you want to interview them all personally Under Lie detector conditions !!!
So stop "nit-picking" and vote YES.

If this deal is scuppered by some of the negative/suspicious people on here you are likely to become the most unpopular people in Nottingham. If you think this is being over dramatic you should really try to get out more.

Get over Yourself too Nick ( nobody tells me how to think)Baker. My post was not a veiled threat, merely a statement of facts.Yes We do own 60% of the club - courtesy of Hadyn Green - BUT ALL fans gave freely to help save the club and that is just one of the reasons we should represent them and respect their views too. There is No doubt that over here certain people in The Trust,in particular the CAN group, are no longer seen as representing the views of the "ordinary" fans ! By all means ask reasonable questions BUT looking back at the last 2 weeks on here some people are making a meal of this.If this deal does not go through indications are that gates will quickly fall further and only hasten our demise. That is not a threat - I have just been listening.
Oh and as you mention "democracy in action" CAN lost the vote - so time to get over it and move on.

Better things to do than argue with you Tony, but a line like

"If this deal is scuppered by some of the negative/suspicious people on here you are likely to become the most unpopular people in Nottingham. If you think this is being over dramatic you should really try to get out more."

seems to imply that people asking questions is negative and somehow the mere fact of asking such questions will make everyone else vote "No". And that if they do then vote "No", the question-askers will be driven out of town. I know, let's just wallow in ignorance shall we and hope it turns out OK?

Better things to do Nick ? Go on then.We have been given all the facts we need already so no need for anyone to wallow in ignorance as you put it.Sounds like You are implying anyone that doesnt ask questions is ignorant - interesting concept. You can think what you like but a lot of the comments and questions on here have been negative and unduly suspicous.

No I am implying that you think that the question-askers could scupper the deal - you'll agree that is a ridiculous point of view to have?

Unduly suspicious? You do know we are being asked to hand over our stake in the club completely to a recently formed investment entity? We're not a sleeping giant, we struggled for 10,000 crowds when we were in the top flight so why would anyone invest a large sum of money into the club? It may be a brilliant move on Munto's part and I certainly hope it is. But suspicious is the only way to be until the votes are cast.

I've just got hold of my ballot papers. You don't make it easy do you?

OK I've definately Pro on Question 1. BUT totally undecided on questions 2 about the loans and they don't seem to be a straight forward answer as to why this is necessary Is abstaination from the second question an option?

Just out of interest some cutting and pasting from the Trust website.

The only changes I have made is to highlight in bold a certain word.

Questions from Trust Website

Answers supplied by
John Armstrong-Holmes, Club Chairman and the Trust Board

I thought that Haydn Green had loaned us the money to buy the shares. Shouldn’t the shares be sold to the proposed new owners and the money handed over to the Haydn Green Estate? Wouldn’t that be the honourable thing to do?

Answer: Haydn Green facilitated the Trust’s acquisition of additional shares which resulted in the Trust becoming the majority shareholder. He did not loan the Trust money to acquire them. Haydn Green’s position in the Club’s history is acknowledged and will be honoured by Munto.

I'm all for the takeover, but why say that Haydn Green donated the shares to the Trust when the truth is that he loaned the Trust the money to buy them? Surely there's still a debt which the Trust owes to the Green estate of around £150k which has to be repaid if the takeover proceeds?

Answer: The truth is that Haydn Green did not loan the Trust money to acquire part of his shareholding. True, he facilitated the arrangement and if the Trust sold the shares (ie made a profit from the sale), they would have to pay Haydn Green’s estate a fixed sum. By gifting the shares, nothing becomes payable.

Treasurers report 2008

A loan of £74,898 from Haydn Green which was provided to purchase part of the

shareholding in 2007 is included in the Creditors figure within the Balance Sheet.

This loan is only repayable in the event of the Trust selling any of its shares.

NOTTS COUNTY SUPPORTERS LIMITED

2008 2007

£ £

Deferred income (Membership subscriptions in advance) 6,508 8,263

Loans payable 74,898 74,899

81,406 83,162

The loan which has been used to acquire 149,797 ordinary shares of £1 each in Blenheim 1862

Limited, is interest free and repayment will only take place when the supporters trust sells some

(or all) of its shareholding.

Please explain why the audited accounts from 2008 and the treasurers report call Haydn Greens contribution loans but the answers received above do not.

I'm confused!!!! Confused I thought I knew what I was gonna do when I got this form (tick one box to sell the shares to Munto)

Now I seem to be being ask to write off the loans we have invested in the club as well as giving away the share holding which seems slightly short sighted IMO.

I would personally like the trust get back some of the money raised by fans to help the club, in case the need arises in the future or at least if the loans are still in place we have an assurance that they won't asset strip the club beyond that of their word

Are you still whinging Stuart ? Was is wrong with you ? You didn't get it your own way so why not simply sut up and leave it to those that did ? You lost your battle stop trying to bring the club down with you. I know kids that are more gracious in defeat than you.
