We really need someone to inform us as to when the ballot papers are going to arrive. I assume the delay is due to the need to have plenty of information to be sent out with the ballot papers to appease the doubters in the trust perhaps like David ?

I very much doubt it. There's not a single question that's been asked on here that couldn't have been anticipated, and wouldn't have been expected. I'd be amazed if the information wasn't put together and ready before the initial announcement was made.

I'd guess the delay is in getting everything copied up, popped into envelopes and actually issued.

Glenn, Just in case it gets missed, Simon Brodbeck posted some very relevant questions on another thread:
"I still do not know who owns the Munto group.
I still do not know where the money is coming from.
Are Mr Peter Trembling and Peter Willett putting any money in? If not, who is?
I am told that Mr Willett is based in the Middle East overseeing the worldwide property investments of the Al Thani Investment Group. Does that mean that the Al Thani group (which presumably has vast funds) is putting in money? I suspect not; we have not been told.
Have the consortium passsed the Football League's "fit and proper test" to own our club?
I still do not know why the Munto group wishes to "invest" in Notts County. If you want to make money, then "investing" (or rather pouring money down a black hole) in Meadow Lane is probably last on the list of places to go.
I am not clear why the Trust have not fought for a minority stake - say 10% and a watching brief with a seat on the board - to safeguard the club's future.

I look forward to hearing the answers."

Waittwatcher - I only speak for myself, not the Trust. Whilst I recognise your concerns there has been enough information around for days on this matter.
However, as a private entity Munto/Al Thani don't have to answer a single question. It's a deal between Blenheim and Munto - let them get on with it. You make a number of assumptions (ASS-U-ME...seen that before?). Who said the buyers expect to make a profit - what about the extaordinary cache of owning the Worlds oldest football club?
If they have put a deal together acceptable to the NCFC Board and want 100% control why on earth should the Trust have 10%. You don't need a seat on the Board if, when in control, you communicate properly with supporters.
You can make your own mind up about the quality of communications at ML having witnessed what has happened since the Trust owned 60.6% of the shares!

Can somebody tell me why there was no information from Munto Finance selling their deal to trust members included with the ballot forms.

To make a reasonable decision surely we must hear from the interested party.

Alan - "Who said the buyers expect to make a profit" - well isn't that what an investment fund is expected to do? It does not help the transparency of the proposed deal when Munto Finance is / is to be registered in B.V.Islands and not in the UK.

ww - Munto are at liberty to disclose their motives if they wish, or not ,as the case may be.
As you may know, companies offset profits with losses, usually to reduce toatal tax paid. Who knows, we may be part of that kind of strategy.
The money to pay for the NCFC deal, as I understand it, is coming from an Investment Trust based in Switzerland. Money into an Inv Trust can (usually) be received fron any legitimate source, ie, an Al Thani related business or perhaps family money - only they will know.
The BV Islands will simply be about tax treatment. Why would an organisation like Munto/Al Thani change its tax base simply to satisfy a thousand or so UK based supporters in the interests of transparency?
I've said nothing new. We may learn more on the 24th; but maybe not. We're playing by different rules here - needs some calm patience and trust your guts!

I am trying to respect other peoples opinions but I am becoming increasingly irritated by the negativity, questioning and suspicion that continues on here. It is no surprise that much of this comes from CAN supporters and I have to agree with Magpie 64,Roweyp,Jurgenpie and others - its time to move on. The Trust did a great Job in helping to save the club but NOW is the time to bow out gracefully.Critics of the takeover seem to me to be losing the bigger picture as
1. The alternative to accepting this deal is the continuing march to a slow death !!
2.CAN supporters inparticular seem to have forgotten that the Trust should be representing ALL supporters views. In this respect it seems clear that an overwhelming majority of "ordinary" fans want this deal to take place. The pedants should be taking this into account.
3.Surely the worst that can happen after any takeover is that Munto desert us in 5-10 years BUT we should be in for a happier ride in the meantime.
4.People keep asking for more details of Munto BUT they have issued a statement outlining their intentions ( Lisa - it is on page 6 of the booklet). What if you have the names of their backers? You look them up on the internet? BUT you will still have very little more to go on. That is unless you want to interview them all personally Under Lie detector conditions !!!
So stop "nit-picking" and vote YES.

If this deal is scuppered by some of the negative/suspicious people on here you are likely to become the most unpopular people in Nottingham. If you think this is being over dramatic you should really try to get out more.

I find it quite astonishing the attitude some people have towards this deal.

Why is Munto registered in the BV Islands and not in the UK. Go and ask a tax expert for heaven's sake, does it matter one jot? NO OF COURSE IT DOESN'T.

I can't find QABAK or whoever they are on the internet!!!!!! Oh dear, more sleep lost.

Well done them, a group of people who have managed to retain some privacy, especially from about 5 or 6 people in some minor town which now is in some minor country.

The Notts County board, all the directors and the Trust board want us all to vote yes, but the CAN supporters who have already lost any claim to speaking for the fans, won't be happy until the colour of the investors toilet rolls are revealed.

You are making a lot of enemies and peoples patience has run out with you.
