Well what can we say?

Munto promised to inject a breath of fresh air into our football club, it’s certainly been more like a Hurricane!

The events of the last week have certainly been one of the biggest, if not the biggest; occasions ever to happen at our Football Club. The Sven arrival has reverberated around the football world. Munto have well and truly shown the scale of their ambition for our football club. It has to rank as high as Tommy Lawton coming toMeadow Lane.

What model does the Trust adopt going forward?

That will largely depend on what the members decide. We have been in dialogue with Peter Trembling about how supporters’ organisations could possibly help our football club progress in the future. With some of the unprecedented events at the club over the last few weeks this will gain momentum as soon as the season is underway. A definite communication conduit is considered to be vital part of the future of the football club. A clearer defined structure is envisaged to be rolled out over the next few months leading up to the AGM.

What roles would you like your Trust to take on in the future?

We invite members to communicate their suggestions back to the board, on how and in what direction they feel the Trust can help their football club progress in the future.

We see the Trust going forward with an understandable change in focus.

Two New Board Members

We are delighted to announce the co-option of two new Trust Board members who have volunteered their services. They are Paul Swift and Malcolm Mills who will bring their own strategic skills to the Trust Board. Both Paul and Malcolm are longstanding Notts County fans and each will have a specific role to play.

You intimate above that the AGM will be in 'several months'.

Yet you also said:

Posted Sat 16 May 2009 19:09 At the Trust Board meeting last week we started to plan for an earlier than usual AGM as promised. We are not able to set a date yet because time is needed to prepare and then audit the accounts. We are now working on this process. We are also working with Supporters Direct to decide what the size of the new Board should be. The elections for Board members will take place in conjunction with the AGM as usual.

So when will the AGM be?

The crutch of the matter is Cher that the situation has changed dramatically since May, the Club is now owned by Munto Finance.

Surely that makes an AGM even more crucial given the new role that the Trust has to decide upon.

How about sorting out the renewals?

What roles would you like your Trust to take on in the future?

My suggestion would be that before you even begin to consider what the future holds in store for the Trust, that the current board sit down and reflect on what has happened since the last AGM.

In my opinion a lot of hard work needs to be done to restore the organisation's credibility, as without this any changes will just be cosmetic.

Communication clearly needs improving. The forum on this site is a case in point.

Membership/renewals - as already stated on this thread - needs immediate attention.

Aims/direction/strategy - this is the big issue and I would recommend to the Board that they begin this dialogue with supporters ASAP.

Community - this could form a cornerstone of the 'new' Trust. When I was on the Board the Trust's community strategy was pretty much ready to be presented to the members and then hopefully rolled out - has anything happened with this in the last 10 months or so?

Is the Board seeking any guidance/support from Supporters Direct or other trusts that have gone through a similar transition? I can't think there many (if any) that have gone against their stated aims as set out in the Society Rules, but there will be other organisations that have no share holding and how they 'manage' their relationship with the football club.
