Take-over still not resolved
The take-over of Notts County has still not been completed despite a marathon meeting at Meadow Lane today. The meeting ended tonight without the deal being signed and further meetings are planned to take place tomorrow.
There are now only two days left before Monday's meeting with the Football League at which all the paperwork must be in place to ensure Notts County can claim their place in the league for the start of the new season.
In many supporter's eyes, the situation is becoming desperate. Billy Dearden has described the whole saga as "diabolical" in today's Nottingham Evening Post and has fiercely criticised the continual missed deadlines over the past eight weeks. At tonight's game against Antwerp, the players showed passion and committment to the cause. Supporters now demand that these same qualities are displayed in the meeting tomorrow.
The Trust once again calls on all parties involved in the take-over to simply get the deal signed and protect the future of our Club.
A further update will appear here as soon as we have any more news.
