Fans Chance To Pay Tribute To Jimmy

An event to celebrate the Notts County Legend that is Jimmy Sirrel will take place at Meadow Lane on Tuesday 22nd January 2008.

And tickets are going fast for what promises to be a wonderful occasion for everyone with Notts County and "Sir" Jimmy in their hearts.

As well as tributes from former managers and past players, a highlight of the evening will be the unveiling of a portrait picture of the great man commissioned by Notts County Supporters Trust.

Jimmy Sirrel served the Club from 1969 to1987 and masterminded the club's rise from the Fourth Division right through to the top flight.

The event will take place in the County Suite which will open at 6.30pm for pre dinner drinks and a four-course meal will be served in the 1862 Suite at 7.30pm.

The unveiling of the portrait of Jimmy will take place after dinner by the great man himself.

Trust Chair Stuart Rolley says: "Jimmy Sirrel is one of the true heroes at Notts County. This event gives all fans the opportunity to express their appreciation and gratitude for the great times he brought to this Club. The unveiling of a portrait in his honour is a fitting tribute to a great man and a great manager."

Tickets are priced at £30 per person inclusive and tables of 10 are priced at £300 inclusive.
