On Friday February 4th, the Trusts Fundraising Committee organised an Evening with former Chairman Derek Pavis in the County Suite at Meadow Lane. Attended by over 120 members & non members, the evening itself was great entertainment as MC for the evening, and Trust Patron Colin Slater introduced Derek and former deputy John Mountney. Derek spent the first half of the evening running through all of the different Managers who had come & gone throughout his tenure as Chairman with interesting and amusing anecdotes about each one. The half time break saw Supporter Director Steve Thompson serving chip butties to the hungry hoards, before a raffle & auction took place with many of the prizes donated by Mr Pavis personal collection of memorabilia, to which the Trust are very grateful.

The second half of the evening saw Mr Pavis take questions from the floor, all answered with the frankness and honesty we have come to expect from Derek. It was interesting to hear who he thought were Notts better & more disappointing signings throughout his time in charge at Meadow Lane, although this correspondent has to disagree with his opinion on Gary McSwegan on the latter!

All in all, an enjoyable evening was had by all, and the Trust would like to extend it's thanks to Derek, John and Colin for making themselves available to speak to the fans of Notts County.
