Please find below the full list of items that will be auctioned on the night. Section A will be the "true" auction items and section B will be a silent auction on the night for those that have bought tickets.

We are making these items avaialable for view in case there is anything in particular that you would like to bid for yourself. Please be aware that we WILL NOT take any bids by e-mail or phone, but you can contact anyone you know who has a ticket for the night to bid by proxy for you of course (not including the 4 organisers - i.e. Martin Naylor, Ken Carter, Stephen Thompson & Richard Stanton).

If you are interested & require fuller clarification of what a certain item is, then please contact Martin Naylor at the following e-mail aaddress & will explain fully. REPEAT, Martin will not be able to bid for you by proxy on the night.

This is a fantastic list of items.

While I appreciate you want to reward those who turn up on the night with access to these collectors items, I can't help thinking that we will not get their true worth by auctioning them at the dinner.

Look at the money the first Chelsea shirt is raising (£555 with over 2 days to go) on eBay. Some of these items are only going to be of interest to supporters of other clubs. Please set realistic reserves so they don't sell too cheaply.

Unfortunately I live 180 miles away and can't make the dinner due to work commitments. I don't know anyone who is going but would be prepared to pay good money for some of the items listed. Why can't trust members bid via post with blank cheques?

I am not knocking the effort that has gone into putting this event together. I just want to see the trust raise as much money as possible.

Hope the night goes well and is enjoyed by all who attend.

Craig

Very sorry, but I'm afraid that the criteria has been set for how to bid for the items. We have had absolute nightmares with requests for Chelsea shirts (in particular) and other items, but fully appreciate that exiled Notts fans cannot make it. Do you know anyone who is going to the auction itself? Maybe someone on the Trust Board could bid by proxy for you, it may be worth an e-mail?

How many are going to the auction? we tried to get tickets a few weeks ago but all sold out. We intended to go to support the night rather than as serious buyers. There is a danger that many who have bought tickets will be in the same position, limiting those prepared or able to pay the money that could be obtained outside.

The list of items is amazing and great credit to those who have worked hard to collect it together but unless some of the more prestigious items are available to a wider audience then there is a danger that the real money will be made by buyers selling them on via e bay etc.

Have any professional auctioneers been approached for advice re maximising the money raised?

There are over 300 people going (320 I think in total) and I have been informed that over 20 are millionaires, so there's so serious money going to be floating around.

The event itself did sell out very quickly, we're only sorry that we couldn't squeeze more people in.

We take on board everyones questions & concerns that we may not maximise all of the items by opening them to a wider audience, but feel very confident that fair & decent prices will be met for each item. If, however, a buyer wins and item solely to put on to ebay for self-financial gain, then that is out of our hands I'm afraid.
