Went down there for first time in a couple of weeks, had one drink and left in disgust, went to the Globe, what a refreshing change! clean tables, clean floors, heating and £0.85 for half a coke not a £1, all I want is a welcoming and clean place for a drink, after all it is supposed to be for the fans, got asked by a couple in the globe who thought I was a trust member and asked why the Meadow Club was STILL in a state, sorry to say I had no answer for them, GRIPE OVER come on you pies, will return to Meadow Club when a cleaning contract is sorted and prices sorted.

I have to say the price of drinks in the Meadow Club are very reasonable for me and my friends.I must admit could do with new floor [ carpet] tables chairs.But be pateint the club as only just been taken over by the truest these things take time money.Then everyone will want to come back.I think Meadow club should just be for supporters trusts members only what great fundraising idea

Seem to remember this was promised last season, I've just had upstairs landing, hallway and bedroom carpeted with a heavy duty carpet for £240, this place could be a goldmine for Notts but we seem to look after the rich people in the banquetting side and forget about the real fans who come week in and week out who are now going to other pubs just for basic comforts.

There does seem to have been a haphazard approach to the running of the Meadow Club since it was reopened:

Money has been spent on the decor but even basic standards of cleanliness are not maintained.

Money was spent bringing the kitchen up to standard but they sell food you wouldn`t even give to John Selwyn Gummers daughter.

Money was spent on installing a large screen and extra small screens but they don`t show Sky games and the small screens are not used at all.

On the plus side the heating has been working recently, although not on Saturday, and prices ARE very reasonable. The problem may be that those in charge seem to have backed away from using the MC as a "venue" and, since the club gets as busy as the staff can cope with on a Saturday, they have probably decided that money is more productively spent elsewhere.
The attendance on Saturday takes our league average almost up to 5500 and, although this will drop, I`m sure our losses here will now be smaller than anticipated. Surely some funds could be allocated to the MC to make it a more salubrious place to visit, the place does have potential.

I very rarely go into the Meadow Club, but have noticed when returning from away matches that it is often booked for private functions on a Saturday night.

Given that it must be making some money, I wonder what effect the conditions might have on repeat bookings?

What the deal with the meadow club? I mean what are you supposed to have to get in?

My Granddad has said in the past that you need to be a Supporters Club member but nobody has actually told me directly (Personally the SC is the only thing I haven't joined).

With the news that we are playing @ 1pm when England are playing N.Ireland, I won't be able to get home in time for Kick Off. I'm kind of wondering if the MC will be prepared for it.

Just walk in to the Meadow Club, no membership needed.
