.....anyone else been affected by the club shop's inability to take payment via credit/debit card? At the back-end of last season, I wished to purchase the 'Ten Years On' publication. After waiting my turn in a long queue, I finally arrived at the front only to be told I couldn't use my card for payment. This annoyed me immensely!

After visiting the club shop after the Chester game to purchase a new home shirt (I took money this time just in case), I was again surprised to see the same notice at the till apologising for the lack of these facilities.

I think this will (and probably has) lose the club vital income, when we all know that every penny is still vital to this club.

Surely in a world where everything is seemingly purchased by credit/debit cards, Notts really are missing the boat on this problem.

As for inside the ground, when o' when will Notts fans be given the option of sitting in the Kop Stand. Surely the pyschological aspect of the players seeing Notts fans sitting behind both goals, not to mention the amazing acoustics even a small following can make, should lend itself to getting Notts fans into the Kop Stand.

One last point. Some of the seats in the Derek Pavis stand are in a disgusting state with pigeon droppings encrusted onto them. Heaven forbid we draw a really big club at home in a cup competition, as the club would have hundreds of complaints from folk given a 'pigeon affected' seat.

Cheers,

Adam

Sorry about the ****'s Adam, it was the banned words list not quite working properly. It was filtering the words red and round.

I've changed it now and edited your message to remove the ****.

Cheers

Hi Adam,

Thanks for the posting. Hope the following helps a bit.

Not being able to use credit cards is really frustrating and you are right that this is probably costing the Club some income as well as the inconvenience it causes to some supporters. It seems that the main problem is that certain suppliers will not deal with NCFC because it was in administration or the old company owes them money. That is why we can not currently get credit card facilities. All these issues will eventually be resolved but some of the problems stemming from the period when the club was in administration are taking a while to clear up unfortunately.

The use of the Kop by Notts fans was an issue which came up a number of times in the recent Trust fans' survey and this will be taken up with the Club to see what the possibilities are.

We also had a number of comments from fans after the Chester game about the state of the seats as well as a number of other issues like the queues for beer and problems with ticketing. All these comments have been reported to the Trust Supporter-Director and will be taken up with the Club as a matter of urgency.

We will keep you posted on progress and hope to see an improvement where possible for the next home game.

Meanwhile, please let us know of any other issues that you think need addressing and thanks again for posting.

Thanks for the replies Nigel/Keri,

I did have an inkling that the lack of debit/credit card facilities was down to the period in administration, but you've just confirmed my thoughts.

Cheers.

Oh here we go again with this silly argument about sitting in the kop
Personally I would rather sit in the derek pavis stand tha watch football behind the goal.
The simple fact is that being sitting in the kop end would not increase the noise as away fans always sing louder than the home fans , simple as that
Look at the chelsea game last season , 3000 of us there in a little corner of the ground and listen to the noise we made .
What really puzzles me is why the inhabitants of z block insist on sitting in z block in the first place
why not move a couple of turnstiles up ?
is it because of the reserved seating policy ?
Lets face it once your in the ground it isnt hard to move back into unoccupied parts of the stand and make yourselfs heard as in the old days of the old meadow lane stand
Maybe the solution would be to make all the back ten rows of seats in the jimmy sirral stand unreserved then we could all the singers at the back as it used to be and the noise we made would once again drown out that made by visiting fans .
But watch fom behind the goal ???? oh id rather watch the dark side , well maybe not
