I still do not know who owns the Munto group.
I still do not know where the money is coming from.
Are Mr Peter Trembling and Peter Willett putting any money in? If not, who is?
I am told that Mr Willett is based in the Middle East overseeing the worldwide property investments of the Al Thani Investment Group. Does that mean that the Al Thani group (which presumably has vast funds) is putting in money? I suspect not; we have not been told.
Have the consortium passsed the Football League's "fit and proper test" to own our club?
I still do not know why the Muntio group wishes to "invest" in Notts County. If you want to make money, then "investing" (or rather pouring money down a black hole) in Meadow Lane is probably last on the list of places to go.
I am not clear why the Trust have not fought for a minority stake - say 10% and a watching brief with a seat on the board - to safeguard the club's future.

I look forward to hearing the answers.

I first visited Meadow Lane to see a wartime game against Derby County. Freddy Steele, a guest player, put us ahead. Then we lost 6-1. I should have been warned - it's not a good idea to support Notts County. As it happens I have stuck with them through thick (but mostly thin) and thin, sustained by brief spells of joy with Lawton, Warnock, Allardyce and the immortal Jimmy Sirrel.

But the last five years have been dire. It is as though the club has been given the kiss of death and is being escorted to the graveyard by warring factions who vent their spleen on various message boards. Thompson out! McParland useless! JAH not fit to run the club. Blue Square here we come. So it goes on, sometimes accompanied by appalling obscenities.

This behaviour is doing nothing to raise morale at Meadow (aka Murder) Lane. The Trust, of which I have been a member since its inception, did a wonderful job in saving the club from extinction. Now its race has been run; it has neither the means nor the know-how to take Notts County to sunnier uplands.

An offer has been tables. The club chairman has, through websites and even the Nottingham Evening Forest, answered many questions to my satisfaction. For me, a kind approach to the Haydn Green estate and perhaps a nod to my friend Simon Brodbeck that the supporters will have a seat on the board, will secure my vote.

I can do without any more Freddy Steele episodes at this stage in my life.
