think there are a lot of questions that need to be answered before many of us decide to buy season tickets for next season. I have supported The Club for 58 years, for the last 36 years I have held two season tickets in The Mainstand currently they are situated in The Members Block. I have to say that for the first time in my time of supporting The Club I am having to consider the valadidity of renewing these tickets, along with that there are X 2 Trust Memberships & Life Line as well.
There has been no mention of prices for next season which is unusual as I would pay for mine at the last home game. No mention of what the Playing Budget may or may not be, which I am sure would influence many supporters decisions as whether to purhase tickets, as well as what league we may find ourselves in.
Are The Trust & The Board of The Club able to offer any clues as to the financial long term future of The Club, or are we just going to stumble along from one disaster to another as we appear to be doing since comming out of Admin.
Finally my major bone of contention is the amount of Silence that The Trust is sending out to its Members & Supporters a like, to be kind the P.R. is very poor to say the least.
Do we have any Officer of The Trust who would be able to post answers to these questions on this board or indeed call in to Match Talk tomorrow evening to offer some clarification on the situation.

You know what the playing budget will be. We will have a top 6 budget as per usual and we will be pushing for promotion yet again. I think the best one was the 5 year plan to get us into the championship that was just pure genious.
Also I reckon that we will also be looking for investment but we dont want anybody that has ideas of making a profit out of their investment we want somebody that will give us money for nothing lol.

Ah yes, The Famous or Infamous "Five Year Plan" The Championship in Five Years I had forgotten about that, having seen the players they recruited I think not, that in my opinion was all a part of Sgt Bilko's vivid imagination.
He in my opinion is responsible in the main for N.C.F.C. being in the situation we find our selves to day, along with Steve Thompson. As Director of Football most of the players at the Lane to day were bought into the Club by him & Thompson & look where they have put us, fairly & Squarely on course for The Blue Square League.
I remember well when Thommo played second Fiddle
to Colin Murphy, Big Sam followed them into the Hot Seat, more experience than Chas & Dave but he could not win a game & down we went. We came back the next season in record time but not from The Conference. The situation we now find ourselves in is nothing short of scandalous IMO.

Official comment? Or are we to infer from the silence that the club is cutting the playing budget of team next season after the huge ammount of success we've had this year?

Personally this question is not dependant on what division we are in as nothing less than a Blue square championship campain is acceptable if we go down. After past experiences with Histon for example, any cuts will almost certainly see us fighting for survival next season too whatever league were in.

I know that plans are being made for next season, but I would expect that final confirmation of season tickets and budgets would not be made until the league position is certain.

Only a few weeks ago Stuart Rolley was a guest on Matchtalk for the whole hour. John Armstrong-Holmes was on last week and has been interviewed before recent home games.

Now we are safe and it's pretty much certain (as anything can be in football) that our Mansfield payday is no longer the question may be easier to answer:

Is next seasons playing budget greater or equal to this years? Or are we making more cuts?
