I thought that Haydn Green had loaned us the money to buy the shares.

Shouldn't the shares be sold to the proposed new owners and the money handed over to the Haydn Green estate? Wouldn't that be the honourable thing to do?

Seems such a shame after the man donated so much of his cash for the well being of our club and now we are giving it away.

Please tell me if I have this round my neck.

Dave

Also.....

Are ALL shareholders gifting their shares?

and

Why are we being asked to make such an important decision with so little information about the proposed new owners?

Thanks

Dave

they're not worth very much, you've got to admit it so it's like giving notts away i'm happy with it so i will be voting for the takeover,

whoever votes against it is not doing any favours to notts that is for sure.

It would definitely seem a bit weird and wrong for me if individual trust members got bought out and given money for 'shares' that they hadn't ever really intended to 'buy'. People just paid their membership fees!

A far better way to do it would be to pay back the Green Estate, put some money in the bank in case the Trust is ever needed again and maybe also put £50-100,000 on the side to build a statue of Jimmy Sirrel to stand outside Meadow Lane and welcome people in....
