Is the Trust going to have an official stance on supporter attendance at the fortgcoming match at MK Dons?

It's been decided that something will appear in the next newsletter about this.
As usual, we are very keen to hear from members with their views on this topic.

Nigel,
I would hope that Notts County Supporters Trust reflects the views of the wider Trust movement and at the very least releases a strong statement urging fans not to attend the away fixture with MK Dons on Saturday 2nd September.
I personally will not be making the trip to MK Dons and would hope that other Pies followers consider boycotting the game. There was widespread outcry from a large proportion of football supporters following the way Wimbledon FC was removed from its true home for purely financial reasons, and most
supporters' organisations have boycotted Franchise FC since its formation.
Just this pre-season a number of clubs, including QPR, Colchester, Ipswich and Histon FC have turned down the opportunity to play MK Dons following fan protests.
That said, it is of course down to each individual whether or not they decide to go to this game. I appreciate that some fans are committed to supporting Notts County regardless of who and where they are playing. Nevertheless, as the 'voice of the fans', I would urge the Trust Board to encourage its members to boycott the game at MK Dons (how about asking fans to donate their ticket money to the Trust instead).
Dave

Dave,
They views of the wider Trust Movement (and the FSA too I think) is that Wimbledon shouldn't have been allowed to relocate to Milton Keynes. It's not clear that there is wider official "do not go" policy. If you have any further information on this please do send it in.
I think its a slightly different situation for a club to deliberately arrange a friendly there knowing it will upset a lot of fans, compared to a League fixture which has to be fulfilled.
I'm hoping we can have an informed debate on what has happened with Wimbledon / MK Dons so that members can be better informed in making their minds up.
There is some information on the
Wikipedia - Milton Keynes Dons F.C page

If anyone has any views on playing at MK Dons please do share them here.
BTW. I understand that the FSA has agreed to admit MK Dons as a group providing the Club return the Wimbledon won Trophies are returned to Wimbledon, including the FA Cup replica which MK Dons hold.
Your suggestion about donating money that would have otherwise been spent at MK Dons is a good idea. Do you think that this money should go to Trust funds or be used for a specific purpose? Again we would welcome more views from members on this.

Still wittering on about Wimbledon? they are history. My Dad took me along to see the County when Lawton headed in a screamer from outside the penalty area in front of 30,000 fans - that is history. Now, from Essex, I flog round the north of London Clubs to watch 0 - 0 draws ( we have been playing better away in the last few years). Nottingham is now too far, though I was on the pitch after the last game of the season screaming with relief.
Every year looking at the fixtures who can I get to - not Colchester or Southend with their grotty grounds - they are up, but hey, this year Milton Keynes are in Div 2, I will be there tomorrow - booked my ticket.
MK Dons, something to do with Wimbledon once? That's History so is 30,000 at Meadow Lane
