Every member having a membership card assumes you have a capable secretary, not one who takes over a year to publish the minutes of meetings.Maybe a secret codeword could be circulated amongst the membership, something easy to remember, like 'crony', for example. Then you could simply approach whoever is manning the front desk and whisper 'crony' in his ear. That could also be an opportunity to prevent undesirable people who might vote the wrong way from getting in. Simply tell them (those on the list) the wrong word, 'transparency' being a possible suggestion.
