From NEP
"The family of Haydn Green – whose investment of more than £3.2m in 2003 preserved the future of the club – has today issued a statement.

The family is upset at speculation that Green, who died in May 2007, would have approved of the takeover bid from Munto Finance or the potential 'gifting' of the Trust's shareholding – of which he funded the purchase – to the group.

"It was the desire of Haydn Green for Notts County to operate on a cash in, cash out basis," said the statement.

"The reason for this philosophy was the significant financial sacrifice Haydn made in his lifetime, following previous financial gambles by others.

"The Estate of Haydn Green intends to protect the future of NCFC for future generations of supporters. Haydn provided a home for the club and we intend to preserve this.

"Sadly, it is impossible to say whether Haydn would have approved of any bid for the club. We can confirm that in respect of the current bid, we have had no discussions with the club, the Trust or any representative from Munto."

The estate own the long-term lease, from the City Council, for the land on which the Meadow Lane stadium is built.

They are not thought to be against the takeover, but are upset at not being consulted."

Any comments from Trust Board because if this is true I find it outrageous treatment of the man that saved the club and no respect shown.

Jurgen, I find it hard to believe tht he Trust or Club Board have not informed Hayden Green's family of the on going negotiations, it would do them no favours what so ever.
Are the Red Rag attempting to Rock the Boat on Chineese Whispers once again.

Just a Thought.

Just find it hard to believe, as I thought they would have been one of the first people involved with the negotiations of the takeover, I am surprised they didn't contact the club direct rather than make with contact the papers, the important bit is that they are not thought to be against the takeover, I still haven't received any ballot papers seem to be taking their time getting them out.

As I said Jurgen, maybe The Red Rag is running on " Chineese Whispers " again. Nothing happening on The Red Side of The River, only clubs rejecting bids for players from them, so print Meadow Lane rumours again, allegedly.

Just hope nothing stuffs it up, be interesting once through if we get some positive press from the NEP, I can't see it not going through and its nice the club will be secure with investment, no reason we can't do a Peterborough or MK Dons with the right players and I'm sure the fans we have lost will come back as without it I can't see our gates averaging above 4,000.

Bridgford you really are getting desperate now.

Do you really think a newspaper would print this without it coming directly from the family.

Of course its true and just another example of the incompetence and deceit that exists both at the Club and the Trust Board.

There is no way any paper would print something saying it is a quote from a 'statement by the family' if it were not true. This is a dreadful indictment of all those involved in this negotiation.

Why is that all the knockers of the trust model come up with conspiracy theories every time there is some truth that comes out that is not in their favour. Where is Clifton?

Hopefully JAH and his nodding dog have already got on the blower to the Green family.

We seriously don't want anything to stuff this up, but it's tactless to have not even contacted them. We owe them for our survival!

A statement early next week from both the board and the Green family saying that they have communicated and both approve the takeover and we're home and dry.

Otherwise by asking trust members to vote to gift their shares without approval from the Green's, the board are basically asking us all to spit in the face of the angels who saved us from extinction.

you're all going well over the top again they dont have shares in the club so they dont have any rights to be informed about anything.. this is just crazy talk again making us look silly

should we had to inform pavis too about this takeover ? it's just a joke

the sooner we become a proper football club again the better

Clifton - one has to be mindful of any change of control clause which may exist ( i.e. change in control of Blenheim, if applicable). There are many legalities to go through - we just need to ensure that all legal aspects are covered - to prevent any comeback later

clifton-pie,

If it were not for Hayden Green we would probably not be here talking about possible investment. We would probably be remembering old times when Notts County existed as a football club.

We owe this man more then we can give and the Trust board know that!

PS Agree with Stu - Jared says it all with

"Otherwise by asking trust members to vote to gift their shares without approval from the Green's, the board are basically asking us all to spit in the face of the angels who saved us from extinction."

Me desperate Mr Rolley I think not, I have to ask how would you know about the alleged "incompetence & deceit that exsists both at the Club & Trust Board", I was under the impression that you were suspended & not allowed to attend their meetings. You must be operating on the Hear Say & Chineese Whispers, I spoke of.

Desperate no not me, I am off on my holidays for two weeks tonite, now that I am desperate for.

"I have to ask how would you know about the alleged "incompetence & deceit that exsists both at the Club & Trust Board"

Oh I read the papers and listen to the pronouncements from both Club and Trust which I know are false and misleading.

I listen to the Green Estate when they complain that as Head Leaseholder and provider of loans to both Club and Trust they are not consulted on a takeover of the Club.

I note that questions are left unaswered for weeks on the Trust message Board

I note that Suppporter Directors lie to the membership at SGM's and the Trust Board do nothing about it.

I note that the Vice Chair of the Trust has "left the building"?

I note that a new Board member was co-opted several weeks ago. Apart from his name I have absolutely no details about him.

I note that the Chairman of the Club professes to know what Haydn Green would think about the takeover when his family quite rightly state they have no idea.

I note that neither John Mountney nor Roy Parker have confirmed they are gifting their shares to Munto.

I note that it has been stated that ALL shareholders have agreed to the takeover - I doubt that very much.

I note that every Trust communique is written by a six year old with English as a second language.

I note that some people will believe anything they want to believe.

have a good break, I hope that you checked the details of the Holiday company before parting with your money!

Before I depart Mr Rolley, might I just say many thanks for your wishes for a good break, details have all been checked with the Holiday company, we have been using these people for a few years & have been more than satisfied.
May I just add, that I hope you enjoy the plummet of Sour Grapes that you appear to be clutching.

Cheap shot but no answers as usual Bridgford.

Just a thought would you use the holiday company if you didnt know who they were, how much it would cost and because I said they were brilliant?

No thought not.

If the new member of the trust board is who I think he is then I believe he has the best interests of Notts at heart. He is a great bloke whom I trust to do the right thing. by the club. From what I hear he is pro takeover which is the main thing
