i didn't know these people were representing the ordinary fan why are they butting when they do not have any sway with the powers that be. i think they are undermining the trust.

quote:
Statement from CAN regarding proposed takeover

We are endeavouring to setup meetings with Munto Finance to ascertain what the proposed takeover really entails and to ensure that the trust members can have as many facts as possible to make an informed decision on what is a very important point in our clubs future.

We feel that to give away all the shares, which would result in no supporter representation in the club, is something not to be taken lightly and would like to welcome the opportunity to work with Munto Finance alongside the Trust to ensure all our fans get the outcome that protects and guarantees Notts County's future, and enhances the community and fans involvement in that future.

We are also concerned that not all shareholders have been properly consulted in this process.

The CAN group do not wish this statement to be viewed as the group trying to stop the investment, indeed we welcome it, but only in the long term interests of Notts County Football Club.

The Trust has no credibility left at all. If an independent body went in and verified everything that the board and JAH are saying then I would be the first person to be voting ' Yes', as it is the Trust has created all these recent problems. Let the members of 'CAN' in!!

sorry i have totely disagree with you there, if CAN got there way the other month we wouldn't even be talking about a takeover.

That's an opinion, not a fact. There was a reason why the current Trust chairman and SD were nearly voted out and it was because there was no transparency and they couldn't be trusted. These same people are now asking us to trust them.

I've just replied with a similar subject on Mad with this.
"Not being funny here but I agreed with alot of Can's aims and wanting some answers re Notts position on their finances/accounts from JAH, but I don't support this, why should Munto speak to a minority group like Can, there's no need and if I were them I would completely ignore it, they have answered questions on the Trust forum and I'm happy with that, they didn't have to (did we want to know about Pavis's background and credentials I don't think so), its time for the vote to go ahead, I've had enough of all this negativity, there been proof of funds and its endorsed by John Mounteney. In my opinion the only thing they should have done is involved Haydn Greens family when first discussing. Time to move on."

Jurgen,

The difference is that Derek Pavis was already known in our community. Who are behind Munto? Why have they taken steps to avoid identifying themselves?

Given their understandable reluctance to make details of the offer public, we need to find some way of reassuring the Trust membership that this is a good deal. John Mounteney's support is important. If some of those behind CAN were also able to support it having had access to the necessary information, that would probably win me over.

I don't think it will happen given relationships between these parties.

The problem you have got is CAN was formed to remove JAH and install a CE which I supported at the time, a vote was done and I accepted these results and moved on, CAN now as far as I can tell don't have any support from the fans and are a minority group. So I am happy hearing John Mounteney who I have alot of respect for endorse the takeover.
