At the meet the manager evening on Thursday 19 January Gudjon left the impression that the 2006/2007 Season Budget had not yet been given to him. This seems to put Steve Thomsons comments at the Trust forum in a different light

"Q With only one player contracted past this season when will the club be opening discussions about extending existing contracts?

ST Gudjon Thordarson along with Howard Wilkinson is working to see who will be offered new contracts. To date only Kelvin Wilson has been approached about a new contract."

How can this be achieved if GT doesn't know how much he's got to spend?

Hi again.

I'll take this one up with Steve Thompson to see where we are with this. If necessary, he can get this raised with the other Club Directors.

Cheers

Keri

Why, according to some of the players on the radio today, have none of them been offered a new contract?

Signing 20+ players in the close season seems a mamouth task. It took Gudjon all his effort to find 1 striker this season. Do we have an army of scouts on the prowl cause I certainly think we need alot of man power to accomplish this.

I just can't believe were in this situation

I can't see sucess can be achieved if players don't have time to gel together

Speaking personally a fan from the family stand I would love to see David Pipe have his contract reviewed before we lose him to another club.

Surely he's becoming a fans favourite, all the kids I see with his name on shirts. Think of the revenue LOL.

His work rate this season has been outstanding, unless I've been dreaming... Then again wake up he's out our league.

Roll on October, we might get answers....

DAVID PIPE, PIPE, PIPE.

Well I shall eat my words. "David pipe, signing for the pies, somebody pinch me I must be drteaming". Great to see that we are aiming for a better future. This news made me decide Saturday to buy 4 Adult and 3 kids seasons tickets for next season. Come on you pies! Can Gudjon be the next Warnock.
