I am an ex-patriot currently living in the States. Most schools and club's (Girl Guides, Scouts, etc.) have bake sales to raise funds. Anything from whole cakes, breads, muffins, cup-cakes, biscuits is sold. Sometimes large pies are cut into individual pieces and sold that way.

If you would like to organise such a thing for us, we'd be very grateful

I don't see a trip back home until next year. Will make a small donation via pay pal to help out. Just wanted to suggest something that usually brings in a fair amount of money, who can resist homebaked goods??

Sorry, was being flippant. Point is there are lots of great ideas, but we, as a committee, cannot organise them all. Firstly, we are already stretched and secondly, we are hitting the same people time and time again.
However, if you were to organise the bake sale (for example, no pressure, honest) I'm sure you'd do a lot better. You obviously care a great deal for the club and that passion is infectious, I'm sure you could convince your friends and neighbours to help the "oldest football league club in the world."
